While we are still in, mostly, the school holidays here in the US and Canada, it is important to note that the school holidays are different in Australia and New Zealand as the schools these go year round and have generally four holidays per year.

Why is this important?

It is always good to remember that Australians and New Zealanders, particularly the New Zealanders, just love to travel, especially in their part of the world! Really! They travel a lot to the Cook Islands, Fiji, Indonesia, and the rest of the world. So when planning your trip to Australia or New Zealand be sure to plan your trip accordingly. Some people like to travel when school is in session and others when it is not. Here is a note for the school holidays for 2017 and 2018.

New Zealand:

Term 3 2017 Holidays: September 30, 2017 to October 15, 2017

Term 4 2017 Holidays: December 21, 2017 to Between January 28, 2018 and February 6, 2018

Term 1 2018 Holidays: April 14, 2018 to April 29, 2018

Term 2 2018 Holidays: July 7, 2018 to July 22, 2018

Term 3 2018 Holidays: September 29, 2018 to October 14, 2018

Term 4 2018 Holidays: December 21, 2018 to Between January 27, 2019 and February 6, 2019

Australia:

Since each Australian state’s holidays are decided by each state’s Education departments they are each slightly different, so to save me typing, and you reading, here is a link and just click on the state you wish to know about: i.e. Sydney is in New South Wales.

Now you can plan effectively and when you wish to travel not being surprised by the lack of children on the beach or having too many there!

When you are ready, give a call to my office and we can plan an amazing trip together!

Have a great week!
