The school year has begun here in the US and Canada, it is important to note that the school holidays are different in Australia and New Zealand. While we have the semester system where we have school segments with the Christmas Holidays and then the long break in the summer, Australia and New Zealand go to school all year with four, about equal, holiday times.

Why is this important?

It is always good to remember that Australians and New Zealanders, particularly the New Zealanders, love to travel, especially in their part of the world! Really! They travel a lot to the Cook Islands, Fiji, Indonesia, and the rest of the world. So when planning your trip to Australia or New Zealand be sure to plan your trip accordingly. Some people like to travel when school is in session and others when it is not. Here is a note for the school holidays for 2018 and 2019.

Since each Australian state’s holidays are decided by each state’s Education departments they are each slightly different, so to save me typing, and you reading, here is a link and just click on the state you wish to know about: i.e. Sydney is in New South Wales.

Now you can plan effectively and when you wish to travel not being surprised by the lack of children on the beach or having too many there!

When you are ready, give a call to my office and we can plan an amazing trip into the South Pacific together!

Have a great week!
